Check the documented backup location
For your model
The 2025 XT6 manual places its backup remote-key pocket inside the center-console storage area between the front seats. That location is a year-specific owner reference, not a fitment rule for every Cadillac.
Before arranging the work
Mention if the remote got wet, was dropped or stopped after battery work. If a second remote behaves normally, include that result so the request focuses on the right component.

Key questions
Does using the XT6 backup pocket create a programmed spare?
No. The owner-manual provision concerns recognition of an existing key in the stated situation. Obtaining and matching another remote is separate work that needs an exact-vehicle check.
