Explain the driver-memory behavior too
For your model
Buick’s 2007 Rainier manual describes optional memory settings linked to numbered remote transmitters. Where that feature is configured, unlocking with a transmitter can recall a driver’s stored positions.
Before arranging the work
Mention if the remote unlocks correctly but recalls an unexpected seat or mirror position. This information helps distinguish a settings concern from a missing remote, damaged buttons or a starting-key problem.

Key questions
Does the wrong Rainier seat position mean the key is incompatible?
That response alone is not enough to establish incompatibility. The 2007 manual describes configurable memory behavior. Report both the lock response and the memory response, along with the remote number if it is marked.
